Our History
Urban Playology LLC, established in 2010, is a boutique psychotherapy private practice in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC. We specialize in helping black women, families, and queer folk lead shame-free lives. Most of the people who make their way to us are doing very well in their professional lives. Their personal lives however are breaking their hearts and tearing them apart. We are strength illumination experts because we know all too well the nuances of being a person of color, of raising a unique family, and of being a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.
Today you are one step closer to a new you, where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to build a better future by better understanding and resolving life challenges.
